heart card for FS.UK challenge blog

Last night whilst reading my dd's devotional bedtime book, it was all about fan mail and suggested writing a letter to Jesus. I told her we could craft this afternoon to make a card to both write a letter in.
Fits in perfectly with this challenge! Made my card and still have to write in it.
Used some of goodies from the Tim Holtz QVC TSV that arrived yesterday ;)

My Christmas mini album.

I've finally finished making this album that Chris gave for Christmas. Will be nice to a way to recall all the snow as well as the Christmas fun we had.
I loved how the album came ready to go, so was easy to make a memory book.
The LOs also gave me a chance to play around with my new collection of stickes!

Strange to see myself sleding AND in a snow globe LOL!

One memory I want to keep of this Chrismas is Iona and her facepaints.......

A weekends crafting 'work'!

At the weekend I ended up making about 20 cards again for the cancer research shops.
I made a selection including some mothers' day ones...still need to make my own Mum's one though..oops!
I've used some things free with magazines that aren't quite to my taste.
I've been keen to make these cards as my maternal aunt is in her last stages of treatment for breast cancer.

Chris handed these ones into the shop today. When he picked up the bags he got me about 50! So I've still plenty more to fill.....

Another crafting morning.... making a tag and cover.

Made a lovely tag and cover this morning with Karen and Alisha. Was wonderful to learn new techniques and to built up a design and try new things out!
And here is the tag.

Chris's valentine card

I made Chris's card this year. I decided to practice using heat embossing and stickles.
I also had some felt hear shapes I wanted to use and they seemed to suit this patterned cardstock I had.

crafting day

Yesterday afternoon Karen had  Alisha and I round to her amazing craft room! She had loads of different things organised to try.

First we used decopatch to alte a clock. It was wonderfully messy and therapeautic fun.

It now has pride of place on our mantelpiece!

Next up we used stampbord and distressing inks, to make a hanging picture. I've got it hanging up beside our PC.

We also alcohol inks on acetate, and I've still to finish this off into a card...along with a tag embossed with UTEE. Will upload these once I've finished them off.
Thanks once again Kaz!!

cards for cancer research

I made some cards today for cancer research. They aren't to my taste but from some kits I bought when I 1st started crafting ;). Hoping to get some bags and get them to the shop later in the week.

These are the male ones.

These are the girly ones.

Practiced using chalks anyway.....

card workshop

Last Thursday I went to a card workshop with some friends. It was in a craft shop called Damselfly in Glasgow.  I'd never used distress inks before. I finished off the cards when I got home with stuff from my stash.

more layouts...

Chris reads the kids a bedtime story.

This was the view from the living room of our old house.

More scrapbooking layouts from last year.

Iona loves getting her facepainted! So much so she asked for her own facepaints at Christmas.
Her she not only has a bad hair day, she also had her face painted like an owl!

Some double layouts from the past year.

I've had some fun this morning looking through the albums from the past year and decided to photograph them.
Our local childrens farm, which we  had an annual pass hold lots of memories.

Chris's Mum lives in Pittenweem.

We also had Historic Scotland membership. Iona LOVED the idea of swaning around a castle dressed as a princess! What a great idea to entertain younger visitors!!

Little girls love to dress up, just as well since Iona's class last year went a school trip and got to 'be' servants for the day!

Last scraplift

This is my last scraplift on the FSUK forum. Iona was dressed to complement our day out at a lavendar farm in Yorkshire last year. Really looking forward to seeing all the current ones once its complete! Wonder what worship songs everyone will pick....

New layout

Okay, I'm going to try and get a new background today. Will see if I can manage that technical feit!

Monday 1 February 2010

Here are some cards I made yesterday afternoon. It my 1st challenge on FSUK.
Cards had to be made using either a brown and pink theme, or as I chose a brown and turquoise theme.
I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I also enjoyed taking part in the scraplift on the site too. Although obviously I can't uplaod a photo of it till the scraplift is completed!

My 1st blog post!!

After looking lots at other blogs decided maybe I could have my own blog after all.
Will see how it turns out...I'm not too technically minded when it comes to uploading photos etc so this be a lesson for me!
